I spent over three years at an AI & software agency watching the same thing happen on repeat: a prospect books an initial call, we send them a form to prepare, and half of them either drop out before the call or paste in two lines that tell us nothing. When we stripped the form down to a single text input it got marginally better, but the responses were still flat and emotionless.

The breakthrough came when we switched to async voice. The dropout rate fell, the responses were richer, and we could feed raw voice input straight into an LLM for context. It felt obvious once we tried it.
